About Us
Fluoride Free Alliance UK was born in 2016 as a successor organisation to West Midland Against Fluoridation (WMAF) which originated in 2010. We are allied to other anti-fluoridation organisations throughout the World.
The threat of further Water Fluoridation (WF) programmes throughout England was predicted by the UK Government of the day, and by previous UK Governments which have attempted to fluoridate other parts of England but without success.
Those of us who objected to WF at the time saw that the reach of WMAF was not enough for the anti-fluoridation movement to speak for all of England (and Wales). So, we migrated from being a regional organisation to a national organisation.
With social media outlets increasing everywhere, the decision was taken in 2022-3 to expand our reach by subscribing to Facebook, Telegram, and Twitter. Latterly, we have also opened a Substack page.
Much of our activity in the public domain takes place on our Telegram Chat Channel : t.me/fluoridefreeuk .
In 2025, we added an FFAUK Information Channel to Telegram. People interested more in information than contributing to a discussion on Water Fluoridation can join the Information channel without joining the Chat Channel. However, it is now easy to hop across to the Chat Channel if they have something important or interesting to relate.
